Valence Cathedral

Valence Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Apollinaire de Valence) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Valence, Drôme, dedicated to Saint Apollinaris of Valence. It is the seat of the Bishop of Valence. The cathedral, which has an interesting apse, was rebuilt in the 11th century in the Romanesque style of Auvergne and consecrated in 1095 by Pope Urban II. It suffered extensive damage in the French Wars of Religion, but it was restored in the first decade of the 17th century.

2007 Monte Carlo Rally

The 2007 Monte Carlo Rally (formally known as the 75 Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo) was a rallying autosports race held over four days between 18 January and 21 January 2007, and operated out of Valence, Drôme, France. It was the first race of the 2007 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. Contested over fifteen stages at a length of 328.54 kilometres, Sébastien Loeb won the race for the Citroën Total World Rally Team.

Château de Crussol

The Château de Crussol is a mostly-ruined 13th century limestone castle in the commune of Saint-Péray that dominates the valley of Rhône, just opposite Valence in the Ardèche département, Rhône-Alpes région of France.

Eyrieux (river)

The Eyrieux River is a tributary of the Rhône River in Europe. The Eyrieux runs for 83 kilometres . It begins in the Massif Central and joins the Rhône in the Rhône Valley just downstream of Valence. The Eyrieux has at least three distinct landscapes. Above Le Cheylard, the plateau is marked by the sugarloaf cones of old volcanoes, and the land is used mostly for raising cattle and sheep.
