Labra is a village located south of Sukhumi, Abkhazia, in the Ochamchira district and populated predominantly by ethnic Armenians who founded the village in 1890 after emigration from Ordu. Gulripsh is an urban settlement in Abkhazia. It is located 12 km from the republic's capital, Sukhumi, and is the centre of Gulripsh raion. Ochamchira is a seaside city on the Black Sea coast of Abkhazia, and a centre of the eponymous district. According to the 1978 population census, Ochamchira had 18,700 residents. After the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict of 1992-93, Ochamchira experienced a significant population decline due to ethnic cleansing of Georgians. Most of the internally displaced persons who were affected by the conflict have yet to return to the city.
