Jagdgeschwader 74

Jagdgeschwader 74 (JG 74) (74th Fighter Wing) is an aviation unit of the German Air Force, based on Neuburg Air Base in Bavaria since 1961. JG 74 provides air defence duties for southern Germany. Hallertau

The Hallertau or Holledau is an area in Bavaria, Germany. At 178 km², it is listed as the largest continuous hop-planting area in the world. According to the International Hop Growing Convention, Germany produces roughly one third of the world's hops (used as flavoring and stabilizers during beer brewing), over 80% of which are grown in the Hallertau.

Biburg Abbey

Biburg Abbey (Kloster Biburg) was a house of the Benedictines located at Biburg in Bavaria, Germany. The monastery, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was founded in 1132 by Konrad and Arbo von Sittling-Biburg, sons of the Blessed Berta of Biburg, who donated their castle to the Bishop of Bamberg for the purpose. The foundation was originally a double monastery for both men and women; the nunnery however burnt down in 1258 and was not re-built.
