Bayerisch Eisenstein station

Bayerisch Eisenstein station is a railway station on the border of southeast Germany and the Czech Republic. It forms the junction between the Bavarian Forest railway from Plattling to Bayerisch Eisenstein, which was started in 1874 by the Bavarian Eastern Railway Company (or Bavarian Ostbahn) and completed by the Royal Bavarian State Railways, and the Pilsen–Markt Eisenstein railway built by the [Pilsen–Priesen railway in what was then Bohemia.

Großer Arber

Großer Arber is the highest peak of the Bavarian-Bohemian-mountain ridge, with an elevation of 1,456 metres . Although geographically belonging to the Bohemian Forest, it is often referred to as "King of the Bavarian Forest". It is one of Germany's most famous skiing resorts besides the Bavarian Alps. Großer Arber and the woodlands down to Bayerisch Eisenstein are in the possession of the Prince of Hohenzollern.
