Schloss Rosenau, Coburg

Schloss Rosenau, called in English The Rosenau or Rosenau Palace, is a former castle, converted into a ducal country house, between the towns of Coburg and Rödental, formerly in Saxe-Coburg, now lying in Bavaria, Germany. Schloss Rosenau is perhaps most notable as the birthplace and boyhood home of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who became the consort of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom in 1840. It should not be confused with another house of the same name at Waldviertel in Austria.

Cortendorf (Coburg)

Cortendorf is a north-eastern district of the Bavarian city of Coburg. With a population of 1.349 and a size of 1,65 km², it has a population density of 818 inhabitants/km². Cortendorf is the location of the Wirtschaftsschule of Coburg and the Kindergarten of Cortendorf. Industries include the machine tool factory Waldrich and the former brewery of Coburg Scheidmantel, but above all it is valued because of its greenery.

Coburg University of Applied Sciences

The Coburg University of Applied Sciences (short Coburg University - until October 1, 2011 University of Applied Sciences Coburg College), re-established in 1971, is a college in Coburg, Northern Bavaria with more than 4,400 students (as of WS 2012/13). CUoAS belongs to the category of smaller Bavarian Universities of Applied Sciences. It offers a broad scope of subjects. Young people from over 40 countries study at Coburg UoAS. CUoAS has 75 international partner institutions.

Landestheater Coburg

Landestheater Coburg (Coburg State Theatre) is a medium-sized three-division (opera / operetta, drama, ballet) theatre in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany. Located in an elegant building at Coburg Square, the neo-classical building has 550 seats. In 2008, the theatre employed 250 permanent staff and 100 part-time employees.

Ehrenburg Palace

Ehrenburg Palace is a palace in Coburg, Germany. The palace was built by Johann Ernst, Duke of Saxe-Coburg, in 1543. The new city palace was built around a dissolved Franciscan monastery. In 1690 a fire destroyed the northern part of the palace. This was an opportunity for Albert V, Duke of Saxe-Coburg, who had a new Baroque style palace built in 1699. In the 19th Century, Ernst I had the palace redesigned by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in Gothic Revival style.
