Möhne

The Möhne is a small-size river in western Germany, right tributary of the Ruhr. The Möhne passes the towns of Brilon, Rüthen, Warstein. Werl Prison

Werl Prison has about 900 inmates, and is one of the largest prisons in Germany. It is located in the town of Werl in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, east of Dortmund. After World War II, several high-ranking Nazi officials were imprisoned there.

Möhne Reservoir

The Möhne Reservoir is an artificial lake in North Rhine-Westphalia, some 45 km east of Dortmund. The lake is formed by the damming of two rivers, Möhne and Heve, and with its four basins stores as much as 135 million cubic metres of water. The dam was built between 1908 and 1913 to help control floods, regulate water levels on the Ruhr river downstream, and generate hydropower. Today, the lake is also a tourist attraction.

Herdringen Castle

Herdringen Castle (Schloss Herdringen) is a castle in the Herdringen district of the German town of Arnsberg. It is the seat of the Fürstenberg-Herdringen family and the present building (built from 1844 to 1853 to designs by Ernst Friedrich Zwirner) is one of the most notable Neo-Gothic secular buildings in Westphalia.
