Ahr Hills

The Ahr Hills (German: Ahrgebirge or Ahreifel) are a range of low mountains and hills up to 623 m high and 25 kilometres long in the Eifel region of Germany, which lie roughly southwest of Bonn on the border between the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The forested Ahr Hills have numerous tourist destinations and the section of a Roman road with its ancient Eifel Aqueduct.

Südschleife

The Nürburgring Südschleife (south loop) was a German motor racing circuit which was built at the same time as the world-famous Nürburgring Nordschleife (north loop). These two layouts were joined together by the Start und Ziel (start/finish) area and could therefore be driven as one track that was over 28 kilometres long.

Felsennest

At the start of the Western European campaign of 1940, the Felsennest ("Rocky Eyrie" in English) was the codename for one of Hitler's Führer Headquarters near Bad Münstereifel, Germany. It was much more cramped than Adolf Hitler's other field bunkers, having only four rooms. Hitler was at the Felsennest in the autumn of 1939, because there were plans to invade France and the Low Countries. He was there again on May 10, 1940 when the invasion took place.
