Patission Street

Patission Street is one of the major streets in central Athens, Greece. Though it is known as Patission, its name was changed to 28 October Street, commemorating the day in 1940 that the Greek dictator Ioannis Metaxas refused the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini's ultimatum that Greece submit to Italian control, thus starting the Greco-Italian War. Patission Street connects the area known as Patissia with Omonoia square in the center of Athens.

Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) (Greek: Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, Oikonomiko Panepistimio Athinon, abbrev. Ο. Π. Α. , OPA) was founded in 1920 in Athens, Greece. Villa Amalia (Athens)

Villa Amalia is the common name of the building that hosted the former 2nd High School of Athens in Greece. It is located in the corner of Acharnon and Heiden streets, near Victoria metro station. It was an anarchist squat, active since 1990. Following a raid in December 2012, the police have evicted the squatters. The Mayor of the City of Athens Giorgos Kaminis announced that the building will be transformed into a school or cultural center.

Austrian Archaeological Institute at Athens

The Austrian Archaeological Institute at Athens (German: Österreichisches Archäologisches Institut Athen; Greek: Αυστριακό Αρχαιολογικό Ινστιτούτο Αθηνών) is one of the 17 foreign archaeological institutes operating in Athens, Greece. It is a branch of the Austrian Archaeological Institute based in Vienna. Founded in 1898, it is the fifth oldest such institution in Greece.
