Pethelinos

Pethelinos is a small village in the Serres regional unit of Central Macedonia, Greece 22 km away from the town of Serres, and not far from the Strymon River. The village has approximately 500 inhabitants. It is part of the municipal unit Strymonas. The old name of the village was Nea RentiniThe village has two churches, one of Saint Nikolaos and one of the Prophet Elias, built on a hill just outside the village.

Central Public Library of Serres

Central Public Library of Serres is a public library located in Seres, Macedonia, Greece. It was founded in 1952. It is a public organization administered by the Ministry of Education, Religion, Culture and Sports. The core of its collection has been provided by the Ministry of education, the National Library, the French Embassy, the Ministry of external affairs and with donations from the friends of the library. Serres Municipal Stadium

The Serres Municipal Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Serres, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panserraikos. The stadium holds 9,500, was built in 1926 and renovated numerous times. The record attendance of the stadium was on 25 June 1972, when 14,200 spectators watched Panserraikos 1-1 draw against Larissa for the Beta Ethniki 1971-72 season last match, a result that gave the chance to Panserraikos to get the promotion to Alpha Ethniki.

Banitsa (ruins)

Banitsa is a deserted former village in Serres regional unit, northern Greece. Its ruins are situated some 15 km north-east of the town of Serres, near the present-day village of Oreini, on the southern slopes of the Vrontous mountains. During the Ottoman period it had a Bulgarian population. The village was destroyed by the Greek Army during the Second Balkan War, and the population migrated to Bulgaria.

Angitis

The Angitis, also known as Angista is a tributary of the River Strymonas in Northern Greece. The river Angitis is 75 km long and it is considered to be an important tributary of the Strymonas. Its source is in the Falakro mountains, in the regional unit of Drama, near the town Prosotsani. It flows towards the south until Fotolivos, where it turns west and enters the Serres regional unit. It flows into the Strymonas near Tragilos.
