Kipoi is a village in Feres municipal unit, Evros regional unit in northeastern Greece. A major motorway border crossing between Greece and Turkey is located here. The town on the Turkish side is İpsala. Kipoi was known as "Bahçeköy" or "Alibeyçiftliği" during Ottoman rule. The town is divided into three parts by two parallel creeks flowing to south west. The population of Kocahıdır is 1159 as of 2011. Kocahıdır was founded in 1893 by 66 Muslim families from Bulgaria. In 1938 during another migration, Muslim families from Romania were also settled in Kocahıdır.
