Lake Stymphalia

Lake Stymphalia is located in the north-eastern part of the Peloponnese, in the Corinthia prefecture. It is a Wetlands area, a popular farming area. Usually this area around the lake is fairly dry underfoot. In certain weather conditions thousands of small green frogs hide in the damp grass from the aquatic snakes. These frogs are invisible in the grass until you almost step on them, at which they jump out of the way, usually landing on another frog which also jumps.

Manna, Greece

Manna is a village in Corinthia, southern Greece. It is a community of the municipal unit Xylokastro. It resides at the mountain foot of Ziria at an elevation of 850m. The name originates from a spring in the village. Before that the village was named Markasi which is a Turkish word that means Marias eyebrow because of the mountain line above the village which looks like an eyebrow.

Skoteini

Skoteini is a small mountain village 57 kilometres southwest of the town of Argos in the Peloponnese, southern Greece. It has an area of 44 km² and sits at an altitude of 690 meters above sea level. Its name derives from the Greek word for "darkness". According to the 1991 census, the population of Skoteini was 371, a drop from the 1981 census, when the town was inhabited by 412 people.

Goura, Corinthia

Goura is a settlement in Corinthia, Greece. It is located at an altitude of 950 metres on the western slopes of Mount Zireia in the valley of the river Olvios, 91 kilometres south-west of Corinth. The village is named after the hero of the Greek War of Independence, Nikolaos Oikonomou-Gouras. His house, along with those of fellow-fighters Sarlis and Mourtis, still stands.
