Chelmos Observatory

The Chelmos Observatory is an observatory located at the foot of the mountaintop of mount Chelmos or Aroania. The observatory was completed and first opened in 2001, located next to the Chelmos Ski Center and is in a rocky setting. Seliana

Seliana also known as Phelloe is a village in the municipal unit of Aigeira, in the eastern part of Achaea, north Peloponnese, Greece. The village is built at an altitude of ~750 m on the foothills of the fir forest of Sarantapikho and on the eastern slope of the valley of river Krios. The village had a population of 305 in 2001. Aigeira is 10 km to the north, and Kalavryta is 21 km to the west.

Massacre of Kalavryta

The Holocaust of Kalavryta (Greek: Ολοκαύτωμα των Καλαβρύτων), or the Massacre of Kalavryta (Σφαγή των Καλαβρύτων), refers to the extermination of the male population and the subsequent total destruction of the town of Kalavryta, in Greece, by German occupying forces during World War II on 13 December 1943. Aside from the deportation and murder of over 80% of Greece's Jewish population, it is the most serious case of war crimes committed during the Axis occupation of Greece during World War II.

Sylivainiotika

Sylivainiotika is a village in Achaea, Greece, near the town of Akrata. Recent archaeological discoveries have revealed that there was a civilization in the village even in the middle Neolithic era. A painted fruit stand was discovered in the region that was made during the 6th millennium BC. This finding is being exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Aigio (about 35 km west of Sylivainiotika on the highway from Athens to Patras).
