Étang Saumâtre is the largest lake in Haiti and the second largest lake in Hispaniola, after Lake Enriquillo. It is also known as Lac Azuéi (Lake Azuéi); it is called Lago del Fondo in the Dominican Republic. Its Taíno name was Yainagua.
