Lantau Island

Lantau Island, based on the old local name of Lantau Peak, is the largest island in Hong Kong, located at the mouth of the Pearl River. Administratively, most of Lantau Island is part of the Islands District of Hong Kong. A small northeastern portion of the island is located in the Tsuen Wan District.

Tung Chung

Tung Chung, meaning 'eastern stream', is an area situated on the north-western coast of Lantau Island(大嶼山) in Hong Kong. Tung Chung, currently one of the latest generation of new towns, was formerly a rural village around Tung Chung Wan, and along the delta and lower courses of Tung Chung River and Ma Wan Chung in the north-western coast of Lantau Island. The area was once a major defense stronghold against pirates and foreign military during Ming and Qing dynasties清朝.

Airport Road, Hong Kong

Airport Road is the main road to the airport and a road connection from Tung Chung and Hong Kong International Airport in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong. The road begins with the end of Route 8 (Exit 1) from Lantau Island as three lane road and into the airport at Chep Lap Kok. The road travels along the eastern side of the airport. The road changes to a two lane road before ends at a traffic circle near the Regal Airport Hotel at Cheong Tat Road (next to the north end of the main terminal building).

Po Lin Monastery

Po Lin Monastery is a Buddhist monastery, located on Ngong Ping Plateau, on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The monastery was founded in 1906 by three monks visiting from Jiangsu and was initially known simply as "The Big Hut" (大茅蓬 Tai Mao Pung). It was renamed to its present name in 1924. The main temple houses three bronze statues of the Buddha – representing his past, present and future lives – as well as many Buddhist scriptures.

Chek Lap Kok

Chek Lap Kok was an island in the western waters of Hong Kong. Together with the smaller Lam Chau, it was leveled and merged via land reclamation into the 12.48 km platform for the current Hong Kong International Airport, which opened for commercial operations in 1998. The airport is therefore popularly referred to as Chek Lap Kok Airport. Hong Kong SkyCity, a business and entertainment complex, is also located on Chek Lap Kok.
