Hvalfjörður Tunnel

Hvalfjörður Tunnel is a road tunnel under the Hvalfjörður fjord in Iceland and a part of the Route 1 (Iceland's ring road). It is 5,770 m long and reaches depth of 165m below sea level. Opened on 11 July 1998, it shortens the distance from Reykjavík to the western and northern parts of the island by 45 km. Passing the fjord now takes 7 minutes instead of about an hour before.

Kolaportið

Kolaportið is Iceland's only flea market. It takes place indoors close to the harbour of the capital city, Reykjavík. In Kolaportið you can buy everything from old records to liquorice and fermented shark. Kolaportið is open only during weekends.

KR-völlur

KR-völlur is a football stadium in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and has been the home stadium of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur since 1984. The stadium holds about 2,700 people and is located at the Kaplaskjólsvegur in West Reykjavík.

Landakotskirkja

Landakotskirkja ("Landakot's Church"), formally named Basilika Krists konungs ("The Basilica of Christ the King"), is the cathedral of the Catholic Church in Iceland. It is often referred to as Kristskirkja ("Christ's Church"). Landakotskirkja is located in the western part of Reykjavík, on the Landakot property. It has a distinctively flat top, as opposed to the standard spire. Its architect is Guðjón Samúelsson, who also built the famous Hallgrímskirkja and the Akureyrarkirkja in Akureyri.
