Subansiri River

The Subansiri River is a tributary of the Brahmaputra River in the Indian states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The Subansiri is 442 kilometres long, with a drainage basin 32,640 square kilometres large. The Subansiri is the largest tributary of the Brahmaputra. Its maximum observed discharge was 18,799 cubic metres per second, and its minimum 131 m/s . It contributes 7.92% of the Brahmaputra's total flow.

Majuli

Mājuli or Majoli is a large river island in the Brahmaputra river, in Assam, India. Mājuli had a total area of 1,250 square kilometres, but having lost significantly to erosion it has an area of only 421.65 square kilometres in 2001. The island is formed by the Brahmaputra river in the south and the Kherkutia Xuti, an anabranch of the Brahmaputra, joined by the Subansiri River in the north. Mājuli island is accessible by ferries from the City of Jorhat.

Jorhat Airport

Jorhat Airport (also known as Rowriah Airport) is located 3 Kilometres South-West of Jorhat, Assam, India. The civil enclave, run by the Airports Authority of India is the 4th busiest airport in Assam After Guwahati, Silchar (2nd busiest) and Dibrugarh (3rd Busiest). Air India Regional cancelled all its flights to Jorhat from 1st January 2013, leaving Jet Konnect as the only airline operating in and out of Jorhat.

Rajiv Gandhi University

Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) (Hindi: राजीव गांधी विश्वविद्यालय) earlier known as Arunachal University, established in 1984, is the oldest university in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.
