Silghat

Silghat is a town located on the southern banks of the Brahmaputra, in Nagaon district, Assam. It is 48 km northeast of Nagaon. Major points of attraction include the Hatimura Temple and huge Samantagiri hillock. The nearest airport is at Saloni, 10 km from Tezpur. Jakhalabandha Railway Station is the nearby railhead. National Highway 52 passes through the town.

Kameng River

The Kameng River (previously named Bhareli River, now called Kameng in Arunachal Pradesh and Jia Bhoreli in Assam) in the eastern Himalayan mountains, originates in Tawang district from the glacial lake below snow capped Gori Chen mountain {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:27|48|36|N|92|26|38|E| | |name= }}, (6,300 metres, photo) on the India-Tibet border in South Tibet and flows through Bhalukpong circle of West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh and Sonitpur District of Assam, India.

Kolia Bhomora Setu

Kolia Bhomora Setu is a pre-stressed concrete road bridge over the Brahmaputra River near Tezpur in Assam. It is named after the Ahom General Kolia Bhomora Phukan. This bridge connects Sonitpur on the north bank with Nagaon District on the south bank. The length of this bridge is 3015 meters. The construction of the bridge took place from 1981 to 1987. A giant Leap towards the development of the North-East India.

Bhairabi Temple

The Bhairabi Temple is located on the outskirts Tezpur in Assam, India. The Goddess Durga is worshipped here. The backdrop of the temple is a view looking towards the Kolia Bhomora Setu across the Brahmaputra River. The temple site is also locally known as Maithan and Bhairabi Devalaya. Legend has it that Usha (daughter of mighty Asura King Banasura) regularly came here for the worshipping of the Goddess.

Agnigarh

Agnigarh is a hillock located in Tezpur, Assam, India. In Hindu mythology, it is the site of the fortress which was built by Banasura to keep his daughter Usha in isolation. The name itself is derived from the words 'Agni' and 'garh' (meaning fortress or wall) in Sanskrit.
