Modasa is a city and a municipality in Sabarkantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is an economic centre for agricultural exports, at both the provincial and national levels. As a centre for the surrounding villages, Modasa acts as a transportation hub for both residents and tourists, and has two large hospitals. The city also provides a nucleus of doctors for the people of northern Gujarat and some migrants of southern Rajasthan.

Malpur

Malpur is a census town in Sabarkantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Malpur was an Indian princely state founded about the middle of the fifteenth century. The last ruler was Rawal Shri Gambhirsinhji Himatsinhji, born 27 October 1914 and succeeded 23 June 1923. He was educated at Scott College, Sadra and Mayo College, Ajmer and ruled till 10 June 1948 until India got independence from the United Kingdom.

Shamlaji

Shamlaji is one of the largest pilgrim temples of the Sabarkantha district in India. It is more commonly known among locals as "Dhodi Dhwaja Wada" because it always has a white silk flag flittering on top of temple. Its unique designs on the outer part of temple is one of its greatest attractions; the image becomes more interesting with the mountains in the background. The temple has a beautiful sculpture of Lord Krishna as Shamdiya bhagwan, with a piece of real diamond embossed on his chin.
