Valsad

Valsad, formerly known as Bulsar, is a city and a municipality in the Valsad district of the Indian state of Gujarat. The city has a collectorate, a district court, and a police headquarters with a historic prison. Valsad is a small, sleepy town that is characterized by its dynamic people and its mango and chickoo orchards. Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury's family name (Bulsara) is derived from the former name of the city.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium is an Indian sports stadium located in Valsad, Gujarat. The stadium is one of the home grounds of the Gujarat cricket team that plays in domestic tournament of Ranji Trophy. The stadium is owned by Bulsar District Cricket Association, which is affiliated to Gujarat Cricket Association. The stadium comes under the aegis of the West Zone. The stadium is used for cricket matches only during Indian domestic season.

Saraswati International School

Dharasana

Dharasana is a town in the state of Gujarat, India. It shot to worldwide fame in May, 1930 as the site of the Dharasana Satyagraha. Here, British Indian police brutally attacked a group of non-violent protestors as they marched upon the Dharasana Salt Works, as part of the Salt Satyagraha. The attack received global news coverage and helped turn public opinion against the British rule in India and in favor of Indian freedom fighters.

Tithal Beach

Tithal Beach is a beach along the Arabian Sea located 4 km west of Valsad town in Indian state of Gujarat. This beach is famous for its black sand. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat. Apart from the beach, places of interest at Tithal including two major temples- the Shri Sai Baba temple located 1.5 km south of the main beach and Shri Swami Narayan temple located 1.6 km north of the main beach. Both the temples overlook the Arabian Sea.
