Veeranpuzha

Veeranpuzha is a lake in Cochin, Kerala, India. It is the northern extension of Vembanad Lake. From Kochi Azhi to Munambam Azhi, the Vembanad lake is popularly known in the name of "Veeranpuzha". In the early 1980s there were regular ferry services from Munambam to Ernakulam. The area has large paddy fields devoid of human habitation. Non-availability of fresh water is a reason for lack of dense human settlements.

Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple

Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple is one of the main Hindu temple in Kerala state, south India. This temple is in Cherai village in Ernakulam district of Kerala. Temple is mainatained by Vinjhana Vardhini Sabha (V. V Sabha). It also known as Malyala palani മലയാള പഴനി or Muruga Temple. The Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple festival is one of the main festivals in the Eranakulam district. The festival happens every year towards the last 2 weeks of January or first 2 weeks of February.

Rajagiri

Rajagiri is the provincial headquarters of the Sacred Heart Province, Kochi http://www. shprovince. org, and part of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), an indigenous religious congregation founded in 1831.
