Perambur Loco Works is a suburban railway station in the Perambur area of the city of Chennai in India. It serves the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) that is one of the largest railroad carriage and locomotive manufacturers in the world. Otteri Nullah
The Otteri Nullah is an east-west waterway which runs through north Chennai, starting at the village of Mullam proceeding through Purasawalkam and then passing through Buckingham and Carnatic Mills before meeting the Buckingham Canal at Basin Bridge. The waterway is around 12 km in length with a catchment area of 38.40 square kilometres. It is the major outlet for rainwater in North Chennai.

Ainsley canal
Ainsley canal is a short canal located in Chennai. The canal starts near Villivakkam railway station and connects Otteri Nullah with railway quarters and Integral Coach Factory near Ayanavaram. It runs for a length of about 3.3 KM. It has become highly polluted, with the residents of Pilkington Road, Vasantha Garden, Appathurai Main Road, Palayakaran Street and Madurai Street dumping wastes. The plight of the canal has not improved though the railways has desilted the canal in year 2006.
