During the first occupation of the Dutch in Indonesia, Dutch East Indies government built three sugar factories in the Brebes Regency: Sugar Mill Jatibarang Sugar Mill Bandjaratma Sugar Mill Kersana PG Jatibarang entered the territory of PTPN IX (Persero) because of large operational and maintenance costs and reduced land for planting sugarcane.
