Bastam Citadel

Not to be confused with the Ilkhanid-period town in Khorasan, Bistam 32x28px Ancient Near East portal Bastam is the site of an ancient Urartian citadel from ca. the 7th century BC, located in modern northwestern Iran. On August 9, 2007, it was proposed to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
