Davan

Davan is located at 29° 23′ N, 51° 55′ E, in a narrow valley at the foot of Mount Davān in the greater Zagros range. It is divided into upper (maʿale-ye bār) and lower (ma ale -ye duman) quarters. Some ruins dating from the Parthian and Sasanian periods are located approximately 4 km to the south of the village.

Bishapur

Bishapur (or Bishâpûr) is an ancient city situated south of modern Faliyan, Iran on the ancient road between Persis and Elam. The road linked the Sassanid capitals Istakhr (very close to Persepolis) and Ctesiphon. Bishapur is in the kazerun. Bishapur was built near a river crossing and at the same site there is also a fort with rock-cut reservoirs and a river valley with six Sassanid rock reliefs.
