Badush Dam

The Badush Dam is an unfinished multi-purpose dam on the Tigris 16 kilometres northwest of Mosul, Iraq. The main purpose of the dam is to produce 170 MW of hydroelectricity in addition to managing tailwater (outflows) from the unstable Mosul Dam upstream. Construction on the dam began in the 1990s and was halted prior to the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.

Tell Arpachiyah

Tell Arpachiyah is an Ancient Near East prehistoric site that takes its name from a more recent village located about 4 miles from Nineveh. The proper name of the mound on which the site is located is Tepe Reshwa.
