Killagoola

Killagoola (Cill Ogúla) is a small townland lying in the parish of Moycullen in County Galway, Ireland. It is located about 8 miles from Galway city, just off the N59 road which travels north from Galway towards Clifden. Its name is derived from the Irish name of Chill U'goola, which means Church on the Shoulder (of a hill). Indeed there is the ruins of a small church within the boundaries of killagoola, on the largest site in the area, Cru Mountain.

Barna GAC

Barna GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Barna, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA. The club caters for the Barna and Furbo areas of County Galway, west of Galway city. The club was merged with Spiddal at U16,U18 and U21 during the 1990s before reverting back to its old form again in 2001. Barna were promoted to Senior Level for the first time in 1972 and have competed in the Galway Senior Club Football Championship over the years.
