Boggeragh Mountains

The Boggeragh Mountains are located in County Cork, Ireland, the Munster Blackwater is north and the River Lee south of the hills. With an elevation of 643m (2,109ft), the highest peak is Musheramore. Construction of a wind farm in the area started in September 2009. In February 2010 19 units of Vestas V90-3MW MW wind turbines are up and running.

Knocknakilla

The Knocknakilla megalithic complex that lies between Macroom and Millstreet, in County Cork, Ireland. It is set in blanket peatland on the north-west upper slopes of Musherabeg mountain and is thought to be 3500 years old. The area is rich with archaeological artifacts, and nearby are two cashels, a ringfort, two fulacht fiadh, a possible souterrain and a circular enclosure. The complex is best known for its large phallic and now leaning portal stone.

Glantane East

Glantane East is a megalithic complex situated 6.4 kilometres from Millstreet, County Cork, Ireland. It is set in the Keel River valley on the north-west upper slopes of Musherabeg mountain, in the townland of Glantane. The complex includes a wedge tomb, two stone circles and a pair of stone alignments. The wedge tomb is known locally as "The Flags" and is 90 centimetres in height, with a capstone 2.4 metres square resting on two sidestones and a backstone.

Rylane

Rylane Cross (Irish: Reighleán an Rince) is a village in County Cork, Ireland. The town is roughly midway between Millstreet and Cork city, north of Macroom in the Parish of Aghabullogue. The CSO does not provide a population for the village, but the population of the Mountrivers electoral division, which includes Rylane and a small rural area around the village is 668.

Carriganimmy

Carriganima or Carriganimmy (Irish: Carraig an Ime) is a village in the Barony of Muskerry, County Cork, Ireland, situated approximately 19 km north of Macroom and 10 km south of Millstreet on the R582. The village lies in a valley between the Boggeragh and Derrynasaggart mountain ranges. Local Townlands include Carriganima (Carraig an Ime), and Glantane East & West (Gleanntán).
