Newtown or Newtown Cross is a village in County Laois, Ireland. It is within the townlands of Clonbrock (Cluain Broc) and Doonane (Dúnán). Newtown lies close to the border between Counties Laois and Kilkenny at the point where the R430 regional road from Abbeyleix to Carlow crosses the N78 from Kilkenny to Athy.

Erin's Own GAA (Kilkenny)

Erin's Own Gaelic Athletic Association was founded in 1885 and since then has been the main sporting organization in the Castlecomer area in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Erin's Own fielded teams in 11 different grades of hurling and in 7 grades of gaelic football in 2006, and is currently undertaking major development at its new ground, Canon Kearns Park.

Arles/Kilcruise Gaelic Athletic Association Club is a gaelic football club in County Laois, Republic of Ireland. Founded in 1995, the club colours are maroon and white. The club won its only Laois Senior Football Championship title to date in 2003 under the captaincy of Paudge Conway. From Under 12 to Under 21 the club's players play with the parish team Ballylinan/Glenmore. Current Laois senior players Ross Munnelly and Kevin Meaney play their club football with Arles/Kilcruise.

Spink Gaelic Athletic Association Club is a gaelic football club in Spink, County Laois, Ireland.
