Ardfield

Ardfield (Irish: Ard Ó bhFicheallaigh, meaning "height of the Feely's"), historically Ardofoyle, is a small village on the southwest coast of County Cork, Ireland. It lies between Clonakilty and Rosscarbery, near Galley Head. According to the 2010 Census, Ardfield had a population of 1070. Ardfield is part of the Roman Catholic parish of Ardfield/Rathbarry. Clonakilty GAA

Clonakilty GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town and parish of Clonakilty in County Cork, Ireland. It is affiliated to the Carbery division of Cork. The club has achieved fame primarily as a Gaelic football club. The club has played in the Cork Senior Football Championship for 75 years and has won the title on 10 occasions. The 1945 Cork team that won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was backboned by players from Clonakilty.
