Rockcorry, historically known as Buagher or Ron Paul, is a village in north-west County Monaghan, Ireland, set on the outskirts of Dartrey Forest. It is situated on the R188 road which links Cootehill to Monaghan town.

Dartrey Forest

Dartrey Forest, near Rockcorry in north-west County Monaghan, Ireland, was formerly part of the Dartrey Estate, located in the Baronie of Dartrey. It was also named "Dawson Grove", the country estate of the Dawson family, who had the title "Earl of Dartrey" from 1866 to 1933. The once vast estate was centered on "Dartrey Castle" (demolished in 1946). The forest's main gate is only a few miles from Cootehill. It is currently managed by Coillte as a commercial forest.

Smithborough

Smithborough or Smithboro is a village in County Monaghan, Ireland. It is within the townlands of Mullaghduff and Mullaghbrack. It is roughly mid-way between Monaghan Town and Clones on the N54. Nearby villages within 6-7 km are Threemilehouse, Scotstown, Ballinode, and Newbliss all within County Monaghan and Roslea in County Fermanagh. The local football team is Éire Óg, who wear blue with a gold band.
