Beit Gamliel

Beit Gamliel is a religious moshav in central Israel. Located south-east of Yavne, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Yavne Regional Council. Soreq Nuclear Research Center

The Soreq Nuclear Research Center is a research and development institute located near the localities of Palmachim and Yavne in Israel. It operates under the auspices of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC). The center conducts research in various physical sciences, particularly the development of many kinds of sensors, lasers, atmospheric research, non-destructive testing techniques, space environment, nuclear safety, medical diagnostics and nuclear medicine.

Shavit

Shavit is a space launch vehicle produced by Israel to launch small satellites into low earth orbit. It was first launched on September 19, 1988 (carrying an Ofeq satellite payload), making Israel the eighth nation to have a space launch capability after the USSR, United States, France, Japan, People's Republic of China, United Kingdom and India.

Palmachim Airbase

Palmachim Air Force Base is an Israeli military facility and spaceport located near the cities of Rishon LeZion and Yavne on the Mediterranean Sea. It is named after nearby Kibbutz Palmachim on the Mediterranean shore. The base is home to several IAF helicopter and UAV squadrons, and serves as a rocket launch site for the Arrow missile.

Kfar Mordechai

Kfar Mordechai is a village in central Israel, located about 30 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, between Ashdod, Gedera and Yavne. The village was established in 1950 by British and South African Jews and by some ex-kibbutz members, near the ruins of a Palestinian Arab village called Bashshit. It is named after Mordechai Eliash, Israel's first ambassador to the United Kingdom.
