Harasha

Harasha, or Haresha, is a Jewish village and Israeli outpost in the Binyamin region of the northern section of the West Bank, located in the Dolev region near Talmon. At 770 metres, the view from the village reaches Hadera in the northwest, Ashkelon in the southwest, and Jerusalem in the east. Harasha was established on 14 January 1999 by two students from Mercaz haRav with assistance from the Amana settlement organization.

Al-Quds Open University

Al-Quds Open University is an administratively, academically and financially independent public university. According to the university's website, it was established in Amman, Jordan, by a decree issued by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and started operating in the Palestinian territories in 1991. http://www. qou. edu/homePage/english/index. jsp?pageId=4 QOU is the only open distance education institute in the Palestinian territories.

Orthodox Church of Ramallah

The Church of Transfiguration in Ramallah was inaugurated in 1852. The Basilica is of Byzantine style. The church contains sacred utensils and old Icons, some of which date back to 1830 and were transferred to the church after the destruction of small churches in Ramallah as a result of persecution and several wars. In the convent of transfiguration exists the spiritual leadership of all Ramallah district.

Ramallah Friends Schools

The Ramallah Friends Schools are two elite Private Schools founded by Quakers in the city of Ramallah, in the West Bank. The Friends Girls' School was inaugurated in 1869; the construction of the Friends Boy's School began in 1901 and opened in 1918. The Schools were run by American Quakers. The schools are now co-educational and divided into Senior and Junior sections; a Meeting House was built in 1910.
