Battle of Jacob's Ford

Jerusalem has been and is considered by many to be one of the holiest cities in the world. For this reason, Christians and Muslims fought for control of the Holy City over several centuries. Around 1095, Christians from Europe marched to the Holy Land to retake control of Jerusalem. By 1099, the Crusaders achieved their goal and captured Jerusalem from the Muslims.

Tel Hazor

Tel Hazor, also Hatzor, present day Tell el-Qedah, is a tell above the site of ancient Hazor. Hazor was an ancient city located in the Upper Galilee, north of the Sea of Galilee, between Ramah and Kadesh, on the high ground overlooking Lake Merom. The expedition to Hazor in the mid-1950s under Yigal Yadin was the most important archaeological excavation undertaken by Israel in its early years of statehood.

Golan Regional Council

The Golan Regional Council is a regional council that supervises regional services to Israeli settlements located on the Golan Heights. It is made up of 19 moshavim and 10 kibbutzim, and other villages. The council headquarters are in Katzrin. The current Head of Council is Eli Malka.
