Golani Junction

Golani Junction, known as Maskana Junction in Arabic, is a key road junction in the Lower Galilee region of northern Israel, located east of Haifa and west of Tiberias, at the intersection of highways 65 and 77. The Golani Brigade Museum commemorating the Golani Brigade is situated there. The junction experiences frequent traffic congestion on weekends and holidays when many Israelis travel to the north of the country on vacation.

Al-Batuf Regional Council

The al-Batuf Regional Council is a regional council located on the southern fringe of the Beit Netofa Valley North of Nazareth within the North District of Israel. It was formerly part Lev HaGalil regional council until 2000 and consists of the following four rural Israeli Arab villages. Hamaam Rumana Rumat al-Heib Uzeir The regional council is named after the Al-Batuf Plain (the Arabic name of Beit Netofa Valley), on which it is located.

The Northern District is one of Israel's six administrative districts. The Northern District has a land area of 4,478 km², which increases to 4,638 km² when both land and water are included. The district capital and largest city in the North District is Nazareth.

Eilabun massacre

The Eilabun massacre was committed by soldiers of Israel Defense Forces during Operation Hiram on 30 October 1948. A total of 14 men from the Palestinian Christian village of Eilabun (Eilaboun) were killed, 12 of them executed by the Israeli forces after the village had surrendered. The remaining villagers were expelled to Lebanon, living as refugees for some months before being allowed to return. The massacre at Eliabun is relatively well documented.
