Serretella Airfield

Serretella Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in southeast Italy, which is located in the vicinity of Battipaglia in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It's precise location is undetermined. It was an all-weather temporary field built by the XII Engineer Command using a graded earth compacted surface, with a prefabricated hessian (burlap) surfacing known as PHS.

Sele Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in southeast Italy, which is located approximately 15 km northwest of Capaccio in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It was a temporary field built by the Army Corps of Engineers used as part of the Salerno landings.

Sele (river)

The Sele is a river in southwestern Italy. Originating from the Monti Picentini in Caposele, it flows through the region of Campania, in the provinces of Salerno and Avellino. Its mouth is in the Gulf of Salerno on Tyrrhenian Sea, at the borders between the municipalities of Eboli and Capaccio (not too far from Paestum), in the beginning point of Cilentan Coast.

Gaudo Airfield

Gaudo Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Southern Italy, approximately 3 km north of Paestum, where the neolithic necropolis belonging to the Gaudo Culture was discovered, about 70 km southeast of Naples. It was a temporary airfield built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Its last known use was by the United States Army Air Force Twelfth Air Force in 1944 during the Italian Campaign.
