Natural Park of Maremma

The Natural Park of Maremma was the first park of the Tuscan Region, established by LR 65, 5 June 1975. It is one of the most affected provinces of Grosseto. Inside there are some areas of the most beautiful and untouched coastline of the Maremma.

Ombrone

The Ombrone is a 160 km long river in Tuscany, central Italy. The Ombrone's source is located near Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the south-eastern side of the Monti del Chianti. After a twisting route, it receives the waters of the tribuaries Arbia, Merse and Orcia before reaching the plain near Istia d'Ombrone. It subsequently passes near the city of Grosseto, before flowing into the Tyrrhenian Sea.

At the time of the 2001 census its population amounted to 465.
