German School Tokyo Yokohama

The German School of Tokyo Yokohama was founded in 1904 in Yokohama. The Deutsche Schule Tokyo Yokohama (DSTY) is currently the only German School in Japan offering classes up to German high school graduation (grades K to 12, German "Abitur"). At the end of grade 9 the German “Hauptschulabschluss” is reached, at the end of grade 10 qualifying students acquire the “Mittlere Reife” and finally at the end of grade 12 (from 2010/11) the German Baccalaureate ("Abitur") is conferred.

Obara, Aichi

Obara, Aichi is a former village located in Nishikamo District, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of December 1, 2004, the town had an estimated population of 4,353 and a population density of 58.4 persons per km². Its total area was 74.54 km². Obara was well known as the home of traditional Japanese "Washi" mulberry paper. Obara was located in north-central Aichi Prefecture. Obara Village was created on July 1, 1906 through the merger of the hamlets of Kiyohara, Honjo, Fukuhara and Toyohara.

Asahi, Aichi

Asahi, Aichi is a former town located in Higashikamo District, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of September 1, 2004, the town had an estimated population of 3,553 and a population density of 110.65 persons per km². Its total area was 32.11 km². Asahi was located in north-central Aichi Prefecture. Asahi Village was created in 1906 through the merger of four small hamlets. It was elevated to town status on 1967.
