Kodomari, Aomori was a village located in Kitatsugaru District in western Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Kodomari was located in far northwest corner of Tsugaru Peninsula facing the Sea of Japan and Tsugaru Strait. The area was part of Hirosaki Domain during the Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, Kodomari Village was created on April 1, 1889.

Shiura, Aomori

Shiura, Aomori was a village located in Kitatsugaru District in western Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Shiura was located in northwest corner of Tsugaru Peninsula facing the Sea of Japan. The area was part of Hirosaki Domain during the Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, Shiura Village was created on March 31, 1955 through the merger of Aiuchi, Jusan and Wakimoto villages.

Minmaya, Aomori

Minmaya, Aomori was a village located in Higashitsugaru District in northern Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Minmaya Village was located on the north coast of Tsugaru Peninsula bordering on Tsugaru Strait. The area was part of Hirosaki Domain during the Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, Minmaya Village was created on April 1, 1889.

Minmaya Station

Minmaya Station is the northern terminal railway station on the JR East Tsugaru Line located in the town of Sotogahama, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 55.8 rail kilometers from the southern terminus of the Tsugaru Line at Aomori Station.

Tōya Maru

The Tōya Maru was a Japanese train ferry constructed by the Japanese National Railways which sank during a typhoon in the Tsugaru Strait between the Japanese islands of Hokkaidō and Honshū on September 26, 1954. It is said that 1,153 people (Japanese National Railways announcement in September 1955) aboard were killed in the accident.
