Kuraishi, Aomori was a village located in Sannohe District in central Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Kuraishi Village was founded on April 1, 1889. On July 1, 2004 it was merged into the town of Gonohe, and thus no longer exists as an independent municipality. Fukuchi, Aomori was a village located in Sannohe District in northern Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Fukuchi Village was founded on April 1, 1955 from the merger the villages of Tanabe with neighboring Jibiki. On January 1, 2006 the village was merged with the town of Nanbu and thus it no longer exists as an independent municipality. Located in central Aomori Prefecture the village of Fukuchi had an economy based primarily on agriculture, primarily in the cultivation of garlic.
