2006 IAAF World Cross Country Championships

The 34th IAAF World Cross Country Championships were held 1-2 April 2006 in Fukuoka, Japan. The event was once again dominated by Ethiopian and Kenyan runners and also Eritrean runners. Kenenisa Bekele won both men's individual races, proving himself the most successful Cross country runner. The event was held at Japan's National Cross Country Course which is the permanent residence of the annual Fukuoka International Cross Country meeting.

Kyushu University

, abbreviated to Kyudai, is a Japanese public university located in Fukuoka, west side of Japan. It is located in Fukuoka, and is one of Japan's National Seven Universities. The history of Kyushu University can be traced by medical schools of the feudal domains built in 1867, and now it is the largest public university in the Kyushu island. Kaizuka Station (Fukuoka)
