Izumi-Chūō Station (Miyagi)

Izumi-Chūō Station is a station on the Sendai Subway Nanboku Line in Izumi-ku, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. In addition to being the northern-most subway station on the line, there is a large bus terminal for commuters to continue on towards the farthest reaches of Sendai, as well as neighboring towns such as Rifu and Tomiya.

Yurtec Stadium Sendai

Yurtec Stadium Sendai (ユアテックスタジアム仙台) is a football stadium in the Nanakita Park, Izumi-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It was built in 1997 and is home to the J. League club Vegalta Sendai and the Japan Football League club Sony Sendai F.C.. The stadium was specifically designed for football, and the stands are arranged close to the pitch. For games where the spectator capacity is insufficient, nearby Miyagi Stadium is occasionally used as a substitute.

Izumi-ku, Sendai

Izumi-ku, Sendai is the northernmost ward of Sendai, in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Although Izumi-ku is mostly a residential area, it is also home to several college campuses; and companies such as Alps, Freescale Semiconductor, and Toppan have a large presence in the Izumi Parktown Industrial Park. As of November 1, 2006, the population was 209,591. At 146.58 km², Izumi-ku is the twelfth-largest ward in Japan, and third-largest in Sendai.
