Shikamachi, Nagasaki

Shikamachi, Nagasaki was a town located in Kitamatsuura District, Nagasaki, Japan. On March 31, 2010 Shikamachi, along with the town of Emukae, also from Kitamatsuura District, was merged into the expanded city of Sasebo. As of January 1, 2009 the town had an estimated population of 5,115 and a density of 169 persons per km². The total area was 30.24 km². Shikamachi was founded as a town in 1947.

Kujūku Islands

Kujūku Islands is a group of islands ranging in the west coast of Kitamatsuura Peninsula, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. The islands belong to the city of Sasebo, and the city of Hirado. The two biggest islands, Kuro-shima and Taka-shima, are easily accessible by ferry from the harbour of Ainoura in the north of Sasebo three times a day. The total number of the islands is now formally considered to be 208. The whole area is designated part of Saikai National Park.

Ikitsuki, Nagasaki

Ikitsuki, Nagasaki is a former town on the island of the same name located in Kitamatsuura District, Nagasaki, Japan. On October 1, 2005 Ikitsuki, along with the town of Tabira, and the village of Ōshima, both from Kitamatsuura District, was merged into the expanded city of Hirado. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 7,392 and a density of 445.84 persons per km². The total area was 16.58 km².

Hirado Bridge

The Hirado Bridge is a suspension bridge in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. It connects the islands of Hirado and Kyūshū. Completed in 1977, it has a main span of 465.5 meters and total length of 665 m. From April 1, 2010, no fee is required to pass the bridge.
