Miho no Matsubara

Miho no Matsubara is a scenic area on the Miho Peninsula in Shimizu Ward of Shizuoka City, Japan. Its seven-kilometre seashore is lined with pine trees. It is the location of the legend upon which the Noh drama Hagoromo is based; on the second Saturday and Sunday of October, the city of Shizuoka holds a Hagoromo Festival near the, and a performance of the Noh drama takes place near the pine tree of the legend.

Outsourcing Stadium Nihondaira

Outsourcing Stadium Nihondaira (アウトソーシングスタジアム日本平) is a football stadium in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka, Japan. It is currently mostly used for football matches and has been the home stadium of the J-League's Shimizu S-Pulse since 1993. The stadium holds 20,339 people and was opened in 1991. In November 2008 a four-year naming deal was announced expected to earn S-Pulse 360,000,000 yen. The stadium will be known as The Outsourcing Stadium.

Shimizu Commercial High School

Shimizu Commercial High School is a co-educational commercial high school located in Shimizu ward, Shizuoka city, Japan. The school was founded in 1921. It has a strong soccer program and has won the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament three times (1985, 1988, 1993). Nihondaira Observatory is an astronomical observatory that is located on a hill overlooking Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan. It has been the source for numerous minor planet discoveries by Takeshi Urata. As of September 2007, this observatory was ranked 43rd in the number of asteroids discovered, with a total of 163. The IAU observatory code for Nihondaira is 385. Nihondaira Ropeway

The Nihondaira Ropeway is Japanese aerial lift line in Shizuoka, Shizuoka, operated by Shizuoka Railway (Shizutetsu). Opened in 1967, the line climbs Nihondaira, a hill with views of the city, Suruga Bay, and Mount Fuji. The line does not accept LuLuCa, a smart card ticketing system by Shizutetsu.
