The University of Tokushima is a national university in the city of Tokushima, Japan, with seven graduate schools and five undergraduate faculties. The university was founded in 1949, by merging six separate national educational facilities into one.

Joto High School

Tokushima Prefectural Joto High School (徳島県立城東高等学校, Tokushima Kenritsu Jōtō Kōtō Gakkō) is a secondary school in Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan, founded in 1902. It is one of the top high schools in Tokushima Prefecture. Approximately 1,100 students attend the school. The school is operated by the Tokushima Prefectural Board of Education. In 2004, the school replaced its old school building with a newer facility.

Yoshino River

The Yoshino River (吉野川 Yoshino-gawa) is a river on the island of Shikoku, Japan. It is 194 km long and has a watershed of 3,750 km . It is the second longest river in Shikoku (slightly shorter than the Shimanto), and is the only river whose watershed spreads over the four prefectures of the island. It is regarded as one of the three greatest rivers of Japan along with the Tone and the Chikugo, and is nicknamed Shikoku Saburō (四国三郎; Saburō is a popular given name for a third son).
