Seihaku-ji

Seihaku-ji is a Myōshin-ji Rinzai school Zen temple in Yamanashi, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is said to have been founded in 1333 after a dream by Ashikaga Takauji. The temple was seriously damaged by fire in 1682. The Butsuden of 1415, a 3x3 bay structure with mokoshi, was designated a National Treasure in 1955. Its precise construction date was learned from items found during dismantling for repairs in 1917. Its ranma was damaged by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake.
