King Hussein International Airport

Aqaba Airport (also known as King Hussein Int´l Airport) is an airport located in the vicinity of Industrial City (Aqaba International Industrial Estate - مدينة العقبة الصناعية الدولية), northern suburb of Aqaba in Jordan. The location of Aqaba is unusual, for within a 15 miles (24 km) radius there are three other countries, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The airport has a single runway equipped with a category 1 instrument landing system (ILS).

Jabal Ram

Jabal Ram is a mountain in Jordan. Most authorities give its elevation as 1,734 m metres above sea level. It was once thought to be the highest point in Jordan, but SRTM data shows that Jabal Umm al Dami is 1,854 m metres above sea level and therefore higher.

Abronah

According to the Book of Numbers, Abronah, sometimes "Ebronah", is one of the places the Israelites stopped at during the Exodus from Egypt, before Ezion-Geber. Its name means passage, and it is the passage from the mountains down to the sea overlooking Ezion Geber. In the book "Rivers in the Desert" Nelson Glueck reported it as Elats industrial city.

Wadi Araba Crossing

The Wadi Araba Border Crossing is an international border crossing between Aqaba, Jordan and Eilat, Israel. Opened on August 8, 1994, it is currently one of three entry/exit points between the two countries that handles tourists. In February 2006, the Israelis renamed their border terminal to Yitzhak Rabin Terminal, after the late Prime Minister.

Ayla (city)

Ayla is an ancient Islamic city which was established on the site of the present Aqaba in Jordan. It was the first Islamic city founded outside the Arabian Peninsula. Its ruins are located northwest of the current city center.
