Al Hashimiyya

Al Hashimiyya is a village in the Ajloun Governorate of north-western Jordan. The village is located 7 km northwest of Ajloun, 22 km south of Irbid and 108 km north of Amman. It is near Ajloun Castle and Tell Mar Elias. The largest tribes are Bani 'Ata (بني عطا), Qwaqnah (قواقنة), Gharaibeh (غرايبة), Rababah (ربابعة), Za'areer (زعارير), Abu Sini (ابو صيني) and Haddad (حداد).

Jordan Rift Valley

The Jordan Rift Valley is an elongated depression located in modern-day Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories. This geographic region includes the Jordan River, Jordan Valley, Hula Valley, Lake Tiberias and the Dead Sea, the lowest land elevation on Earth. The valley continues to the Red Sea, incorporating Arabah and the shorelines of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Rotem, Bik'at HaYarden

Rotem is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank located in the northern Jordan River Valley along the Allon Road south-west of Shadmot Mehola. The village receives its municipal services from the Bik'at HaYarden Regional Council. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this. Rotem was first established as a pioneer Nahal military outpost and later abandoned.
