Gucha District

Gucha District is a district in Nyanza Province, western Kenya. It is also known by the name: South Kisii District or Ogembo District. Its population is approximately 461,000 (as of 1999) http://www. cbs. go. ke/pdf/authority. pdf. Its district headquarters are at Ogembo which houses more than a thousand residents, (people who live in the center of the town), with more than one thousand people more that visit it each day. Agriculture is the main industry.

Bondo, Kenya

Bondo is a town in Nyanza Province of Kenya. It the capital of Bondo District. Bondo is located 50 kilometres west of Kisumu, the provincial capital. Bondo forms a town council with a population of 29,165, of whom 7,797 are classified urban (1999 census). Bondo town council has five wards: Ajigo, Bar Kowino East, Bar Kowino West, Bondo Town and Nyawita. All of them are part of Bondo Constituency.

Ugunja

Ugunja town is a market town in Western Kenya, located in Ugunja Division, Siaya District, Nyanza Province. It has a population of approximately 17,000 and is rapidly growing. Ugunja Division had a population of 79,113 according to the 1999 Kenyan census. Most of the inhabitants in Ugunja are Luos. Ugunja is located on the Kisumu-Busia highway, which links Kenya and Uganda. Ugunja town is 72 km north of the nearest city, Kisumu, which sits on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Busia District, Kenya

Busia is a district in the Western Province of Kenya. It borders Kakamega District to the east, Bungoma District and Teso district to the north, Busia District, Uganda to the west, and Lake Victoria to the south. The main economic activity is trade with neighbouring Uganda, with Busia town - the district headquarters - being a cross-border centre.

Siaya

Siaya is a town in Nyanza Province of Kenya. It is the capital of Siaya District. It is located 74 kilometres Northwest of Kisumu, the provincial capital. Siaya forms municipal council with population of 41,174, of whom 13,787 are classified urban (1999 census). Siaya municipality has five wards: Mjini, Siaya Central, Siaya East, Siaya North and Siaya West. All of them are part of Alego Constituency. With the new constitution, it is now also in Siaya County of which it´s also its headquarter.
