Omar Al-Mukhtar University

Omar Al-Mukhtar University in Bayda started as Islamic university. It was founded in 1835 by the religious group Kzawip Senussi. It has grown to be a moderately religious institute to teach Principles of readings, and then to the University of Mohammed bin Ali al-Sanusi in 1961 or aspiring Bayda Islamic University. It educated students from all parts of Libya and the world, including Malta, Cyprus, Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sudan and Chad.

Sheikh Chadae Stadium or Stadium Club Al Akhdar, or is a multi-purpose stadium in Bayda, Libya. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Al Akhdar Al Bayda'. The stadium holds 7,000 people, and sometimes up to 10,000 people.

Qasr Libya

Qasr Libya or Theodoureas is a small town in northern Libya about 66 kilometres northwest of Bayda. In ancient times, it was called Olbia and Theodorias, the ruins of which were excavated in the 1950s. The town contains a museum with fifty Byzantine mosaics. It's on the cross-roads between the eastwards Marj–Bayda main road, and the southwards Qasr Libya–Marawa road.
