Kuantan

Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang, the 3rd largest state in Malaysia. It is situated near the mouth of the Kuantan River and faces the South China Sea. If one measures the distance along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, it is located roughly halfway between Singapore and Kota Bharu. Kuantan is the 9th largest city in Malaysia. Recently, the National Physical Plan 2005 identified Kuantan as one of the future growth centres and a hub for trade, commerce, transportation and tourism.

Chini Lake

Tasik Chini is a lake near the Pahang River in central Pahang, Malaysia. The lakeshores are inhabited by the Jakun branch of the Orang Asli. The 12,565 acres (5,026 hectares) Tasik Chini is the second largest fresh water lake in Malaysia and is made up of a series of 12 lakes. Chini River, which drains from the lake, flows into Pahang River. The river is dammed to maintain the lake's depth during the dry season.

Tanjung Sepat, Pahang

Tanjung Sepat or better known as Pantai Sepat is a typical Malay fishing village located about 10 km from Kuantan and is located on the way south to the royal town of Pekan. From Kuantan, it is accessible via Jalan Abu Bakar and is an alternative way to the royal town of Pekan. Unlike beaches which slope to the sea for a few meters and then suddenly drop deep, the beach at Pantai Sepat seems to slope very gradually to the sea. The beach is famous among locals as the place is serene and tranquil.
